Keep a Good Mouth

Proverbs 4:24 "Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee."

This verse is very important. It says that we should put away a bad mouth that is disrespectful or disobedient. We shouldn't have a mouth/lips that are unyeilding or disobedient. Our mouths are things that are very hard to control. From being surrounded by people in the world who say mean things or who are disrespectful in every way. That is a hard concept to practice with our own strength. We need God to help us put away a mouth that is not pleasing. This verse was a part of how to walk in the path that is just. You can use this wisdom when you think about what you are going to say. As you think, think What would Jesus do? This is a very good proverb and it has an important lesson for everyone. It is cool to know that God basically wrote these proverbs since He inspired Solomon to write them. That is why it is still good to follow these.
